A: Browsers cache or store images so that the next time you view the same web page, it will load much faster instead of having to load all the images each time. If you change an image but use the same filename, the browser thinks it’s the same image and won’t display the new one. So you need to clear your temporary internet files.
To clear them in Firefox 3 (upgrade for free if you have an older version):
- Go to a website other than your own.
- Click the Tools menu.
- Click Clear Private Data...
- Uncheck all boxes except Cache. Check Cache if needed.
- Click Clear Private Data Now. It may take a few minutes.
- Close and reopen your browser.
- Return to your website and you should see the new image(s).
